Maria Skliarova is a Ukrainian illustrator who finds quiet poetry in everyday moments. After three years studying physics at university, she left academia to teach herself illustration and has worked freelance since 2018. Her painterly images—spanning atmospheric book covers and
concept-driven editorials—blend narrative sensitivity with fine-art light and colour. This distinctive voice earned her international recognition as a Chosen Winner in American Illustration 44, and she continues to explore new techniques so each piece speaks with clear, sincere emotion.
